Mosh Kashi

Born in 1966 in Jerusalem, Israel, Kashi lives and works in Tel Aviv. As a teenager he was sent to boarding school - an experience that shaped his character and generated the “non-places” concept which appeared frequently in his later works. In his paintings, Kashi uses traditional techniques in order to question the status of art in contemporary contexts. His artistic research relies on natural sceneries, resulting in a unique language and style that include botanical imagery, gloomy fields and nocturnal spaces. Kashi currently lives and works in Israel and Lectures at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. He exhibits both nationally and internationally and his works can be found in the collections of museums, institutions, and private collectors worldwide.
