HWC Giving Back - All proceeds from Kuchinate products sold on Handle With Care go to the NGO to support their important work. Kuchinate (crochet in Tigrinya) is a collective of African asylum seeking women living in Tel Aviv, Israel. The women design and create handmade textile products using traditional African fabrics. They also host crochet lessons, meals, and traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean coffee ceremonies.

Bambula means doll in Tigrinya, the language of Eritrea and Ethiopia.The dolls are handmade by African refugees in Israel. Each doll is sewn, stuffed, embroidered and decorated by the women of Kuchinate. The dolls are made of cotton fabrics, the clothing is inspired by African colors and styles. The fabrics change according to availability.

Items (except for large items by “Iota Project” (not including kits) and “Knots Studio” (not including small cushions)) are shipped with EMS:
For orders up to 400 USD, shipping cost is 35 USD.
For orders over 400 USD, express shipping is free.

Large Items by “Iota Project” and “Knots Studio”:
Items are shipped with EMS, with a tracking number. Shipping cost is 75 USD.

Domestic Shipping (Israel)

All items are shipped with a door-to-door courier. 
For orders up to 60 USD, shipping cost is 35 NIS.
For orders over 60 USD, shipping is free.
Please allow 3 business days for deliveries in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim and Bnei Brak. For shipping to other places in Israel please allow up to 7 business days for delivery to arrive.
